The Zone Program

Mindfulness that lives in the classroom

Every week, trained facilitators from Worthy Beyond Purpose guide elementary school students through meditation, breathwork, and emotional regulation. By year's end, every child has built their own mindfulness toolkit: tangible tools they carry with them for life.

How it Works

A 10-month weekly curriculum

The Zone runs from August through May. Once a week, a WBP facilitator leads students through a 30 to 45 minute session during the school day. Each month focuses on a different mindfulness topic, building skills progressively.

Weekly sessions

30 to 45 minutes during the school day.

New topic each month
Breathwork, journaling, qigong, body awareness, meditation, and more.

Personal toolkit
Students create a physical toolkit of mindfulness techniques they keep at the end of the year.

Measured outcomes
Pre and post surveys each year track student growth in emotional awareness and regulation.

The Mindfulness Toolkit

Something they can hold onto.

What kids learn under pressure at school, they often forget the moment they leave. That is why every student builds a physical mindfulness toolkit throughout the year. Each month adds a new artifact: a breathing technique card, a journal entry, a meditation guide they created themselves.

By June, they have a collection of tools they can revisit whenever they need them. It is theirs to keep.

Voices from the classroom

What teachers and families say.

"...Danielle first told me about Worthy Beyond Purpose...I told her about my ongoing work around mindfulness with my lively bunch of third graders at Walgrove Avenue Elementary...
She catered each of the three lessons to the specific needs of our students and was very flexible and welcoming of our students' diverse needs. She talked to the children at length about what it means to be present and mindful... She got even the most distracted of students to give meditation a chance. I am so grateful we found each other... The benefits to kids is tremendous!"

Ana Lima, 3rd Grade Teacher

Walgrove Avenue Elementary

"The Zone was really beneficial to our student athletes, helping them meditate before the games... I've noticed many students turning to the different breathing techniques when they are frustrated, tired, and sad."

Pricing

Never cost-preventative. Ever.

The Zone operates on a sliding scale. Some schools pay the full program cost. Some pay a portion. Some pay nothing at all. The cost is never a barrier to bringing mindfulness into a school.

For schools that cannot cover program costs, WBP fundraises to close the gap. That is where donor support makes the difference.

If your school wants this program, budget is not a reason to say no. Let's talk.
